It's Official! After Akshay Kumar's Prithviraj, Manushi Chillar shoots her second film with Vicky-Exclusive deets inside
Former beauty queen Manushi Chillar who apparently has a 3-film contract with Yash Raj films is now shooting her second film for the production house. It is learnt to be a powerful social comedy with a strong political message. Ms Chillar is paired with Vicky Kaushal in this Yashraj film being directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who directed the hit Dhoom 3 and the disastrous Thugs Of Hindostan for Yash Raj.
Confirming the project, the talented character-actor Yashpal Sharma who is also part of the film’s cast says, “It’s a wonderful story. Victor (Vijay Krishna Acharya) is directing it. I play a negative character. We are shooting at Yash Raj studios.”
Manushi recently wrapped up her work for Yash Raj Films’ historical Prithviraj Chauhan with Akshay Kumar in the title role. Vicky Kaushal has never worked in a Yash Raj film before. His inclusion in this film is significant in the light of the fact that producer Aditya Chopra is trying to spread the wings of his production house by working with fresh talent to break the stronghold of the star system in Bollywood.
Apart from YRF's next, Vicky is also busy with Sardar Udham Singh and the biopic based on field Marshall Sam Manekshaw. Post URI and the national film award win, Vicky has definitely become a hot property in Bollywood and it is safe to say that many producers and directors are queuing up to cast him in their film.
